Our Mission

Our mission is to bring financial support and promote public advocacy of the Peculiar Parks and Recreation services.

We believe our Mission will help improve our parks system, increase the value of our town, and ensure accessibility for citizens of all ages and abilities. We aim to remove as many barriers as possible for everyone to receive the benefits that enjoying a functional parks system can provide.

What we do

We support Peculiar Parks and Recreation though funding and promoting the Department’s projects and events.

We Fund Sports

We set aside funds for scholarships for youth who need assistance with registration fees, and purchasing equipment for teams.

We Build Parks

From individual amenities like the proposed Disc Golf Course at Raisbeck Park to much larger projects, like Dunsworth Memorial Park.

We Promote

Pop-up events bring people to our parks. Come join us for rock-painting or seed planting and enjoy a day well spent.

We Volunteer

Many hands make light work, and that couldn’t be more true when we are cleaning out invasive plants or debris brought in by floodwaters.
